My ex is still influencing things in my life. I am thinking of changing my car - I'll try to keep a long story as short as possible!

When we were together I sold my hatchback and got an MPV for family trips, the holiday to France etc. The ex actually encouraged me. About 2 weeks after I got it she told me the marriage was over. I held on to the 'bus' for a bit and it was great, the boys loved it and a few times the space proved invaluable. But, and you knew that was coming, it drank unleaded like nobodys business and seeing as it was normally just me in it I decided to save some much needed

Just thought I would write a quick blog to say that this week has been ok.

It is amazing how a few days without any abuse allows you to re-focus your attentions.

My problems and issues are still here and will not just go away, but they are so much easier to face when I can think straight.

As GeJay tells me to tell myself often "I am that strong, intelligent, beautiful woman and I am in control of my life".

The sun is shining; today is a "normal" day. Normal is good.

Can face today with a smile and a clear head; that has to be good.

Anyway, just thought I would share my positives with you, because

Well its a funny old world.

 At first I thought ex would not want me to have too much contact with the kids then I get three phone calls in a row saying would I take them to legoland.

Cant quite figure it all out. I suppose its all a question of letting them all work it out themselves and then being there if possible.

Though I do wish I was given more notice, its not that I am complaining but my ex was not a very organsied person to begin with, but a diary would be a useful implement in her life.

Oh well at least spending time with the kids is good so cant complain too
