Perhaps it's just that we didn't get flooded and the rain has stopped.  Perhaps it's because I haven't been caught up with divorce matters for a while.  Anyway, the sun is shining and at last I seem to be getting a grip on the overload of tasks at work.

Home is another matter - housework is needed and the children are, as usual, teenagers.  Not bad teenagers - but they'v the usual teenage concerns, like avoiding spots and homework.

The soon-to-be-ex is away.  That helps too.

I'm getting used to uncertainty.  Many people are worse off and life is always uncertain.  In a few years all could be

I hate worrying about money.  The day to day caution is fine but the bigger worries get to me.  I want a clean break - what's the point in hanging around? - but waiting for financial disclosure and negotiation niggles at the back of my mind now and occasionally causes nightmares. 

I daren't look too far into the future.  I'm fine until the teenagers grow up - because I have to be.  Nobody is going to make them homeless.  After that, who knows?  I earn well but I haven't long enough to save.

 Perhaps I'll retire to a place or country I don't know.  I need to look on it as an opportunity.  In

Not an easy day for many of us on this site.  It can be pretty hard for kids too.

 So best wishes to everyone else who's finding it tricky.  And, for all of us who are parents, I'm sending the best wish of all: that our children come out of this doing the best they can, as caring people in good relationships, doing good in the world.  

 One of my kids saw my soon-to-be-ex today and the other made contact with him.  They both got him presents.  He's not perfect (I could say worse) but he's their dad and it's best for them if they're able to love him and feel loved by him.  It hurts, of  course.
