Its been a while since I wandered through the site, but after last night, simply had to tell everyone what a wonderful evening we had here.

 I haven't been terribly active on the site for a variety of reasons, but was approached by Realdad a little while ago to host a Wikivorce party at my hotel in Lancaster.

 Always one for a good night, I happily agreed.   We have had a couple previously and they have always been absolutely great events.

Happy to say that the dashing and debonair Realdad and the delectable Shezi did an excellent job of organising the event.

Yesterday was an epic day for me.  My marriage fell apart about 3 and a half years ago, when my then wife decided she wanted a 'new' life.  At the time my eldest was 15, and coming up to GCSEs.  One of my biggest worries was what the impact of the breakdown of the relationship would do to my children, both in the short and the long term.  I would be lying if I were to say they were completely unaffected, particularly as my ex-wife and myself had completely opposing views on parenting children through their teens.

Well, it has been a while coming.  My dear ex wife agreed in March 07  that we would do a 2 year separation by mutual consent divorce and share costs.  This was re-iterated in Mediation in July 07.  Then in December 07  she petitioned me on Unreasonable Behaviour.

 I was an appalling Victorian Dad that didn't give a hoot about his children or the fact that my wife was upset by her weight and was upset that I wouldn't have a vasectomy so she didn't have to remember to take the pill (that's how I have three children BTW) so our sex life was non-existent and I simply worked all the time without a
