Ever since my life got turned upside down I have found accomplishing getting through the day difficult at times. Things are a little better than that now but there are still things that my brain just can't compute and handle even though they must be handled. I'm talking about my Uni studies for example. If I can complete my degree I will surely be entering the guiness book of records for the longest time to complete one. I have been stuck in neutral unable to attempt the same module now for 3 years. Well my recent run of happy, upbeat, smiley blogs has come to an end!! I'm quickly approaching the end of my education. Lots of assignments, assessments and dissertation looming. In the process of arranging first aid training for over 100 people and at some point i will need to start applying for jobs. Trying to juggle all this with a 6 year old, home, dog, car etc isnt easy! Another visit to my counselling group tonight. I thought of working on my sadness at the loss of my family. However stuff about assertiveness by another group member intervened. I am aware that assertiveness with my wife gets nowhere- she just redefines it as "argumentativeness" and raises the stakes higher and higher to the 3rd degree- mental illness, paedophilia, suicide, death threats. But then her fears are justified by her family's history. I guess I made a bad choice. I feel a lot more sane and safe now that I am out of the family flat. I assume it is a bit of a disaster
