Had a 20 minute meeting with my wife attempting to talk about our businesses. It concludes with her saying that she does not want to speak with me unless I am taking pills. We start talking about her plans for our new business. She gives me an outline of her plan to sack our current manager. She also tells me that it was my responsibility to look after the bar business while she was completing work on the rest of the building. She also tells me that she is getting advice from one of the partners of the group that owns 2 other local businesses and that he is giving advice for free. I

First week apart now over. A relief. Seen my wife a few times and only suffered a tiny amount of criticism. Managed to eat every day, wash dishes, wash some clothes, keep myself amused with a good book; documentaries on the intermittent freeview TV- something wrong with the aerial; get some work done; go to some meetings; update our website; go out for drinks with a friend; see a film on my own; talk to some relatives; see our daughters once in a while- a normal adult week. Major problem- as always with me- is getting to bed at a sensible time. Also found it difficult to get off to

Danced the night away- drank a little too much. Sent the kids a text after midnight. No criticism from my wife today so far! Only a couple of words between us. Peace.
