We would like to share with you just a small sample of feedback that we have had from people who have come to our support groups.
I was really nervous at first of joining a group, but found it absolutely inspirational. When I first started I was in a very dark place and by the end of the 10 sessions, I felt I had the strength to carry on. M.B. SW4.
I had no idea what to expect but knew that I felt guilty talking about little else with my family and friends. The group has given me so much support, that I feel I have regained my sense of myself. D.F. NW3
Having the group to go to each week, really lifted my spirits and I looked forward to it as a really positive part of my life. I really grew attached to the 6 others and felt that we really helped each other cope during an incredibly unhappy time. J.S. W11.
When I joined the group I was spending most of the week in my pyjamas crying. It got me out of bed and by the end I felt good enough to start eating healthily, take excercise and even laugh about things. If there was an 'advanced' group I would join it like a shot. S.L Greenwich.
Despite having close family and friends, my separation left me feeling alone and isolated. It was truly heartwarming to be able to share experiences with others who knew exactly what I was talking about. P.B. SE1.
I was concerned that I was joining a group that was going to be full of miserable people. On the contrary, what I found was much pain but also much insight and laughter. It has turned what was a feeling of utter hopelessness into a feeling of hope and I can look forward to the future. S.N. WC1
I found the routine of coming to the group each week comforting and while all of our experiences were so different, that in itself helped in the realization that we were not alone. I found your quiet maintenance of the flow of each meeting very reassuring and it was a calm environment to explore some very uncalm feelings! T.W. Surrey
