Well our house sold :-)
In the current climate in my neck of the woods that is a very big deal. Not only that but we actually have equity - although I am not sure how much yet.
We had a month to find somewhere else to live and to clear the house of 17 years worth of possessions.
I had to register homeless with the council, but from that I did get a housing association 3 bed maisonette I can afford. Its a big change for us - we are now right in the centre of the city as opposed to living in a dormer village...I think the kids are enjoying that - I certainly am!
There are no carpets yet, it took me a week to get a cooker organised and a week for broadband (the thing the kids missed the most).
When we were moving STBX and I put aside our differences and worked together to get the place cleared - he helped me move a second hand fridge, and came and took a look around the flat...sadly for him this seems to have cost him his new relationship - or at least put a serious dent in it...when he told the new gf (not from the UK, and probably only after him for money), she was angry with him for helping me and angry he came in the house.
I hope he learns a lesson from her reaction but I think he is comitted. The good thing though is that I think we can have a better relationship moving forwards which will be nicer for everyone.
