I have gone through domestic abuse, I have received a letter from a solicitor stating my soon to be ex wants me to have mediation, do I have to agree to this, the letter said that the courts like you to have had mediation, there is no way I can discuss anything freely im scared of the outcome. The IDVA said not to have mediation, but now I'm confused, please please can any one help its on my medical records of domestic violence

Check form A. You can be exempted from mediation if there is evidence of domestic abuse. Hadenoughnow

Thank you so much, its on my health summary of domestic violence and I have a non molestation order. Where would I find a form A so sorry I am not clued up on this.

Google form A divorce finances. It is also worth checking if you may be eligible for legal aid which is still available if you have been subject to domestic abuse. If you are intending to self represent and need some support, you may want to have a look at the low cost support services offered by this site for self reppers. Hadenoughnow

Thank you for your reply, hadenoughnow I'm speaking to my solicitor tomorrow so I will mention the form A We are going to court for Form E financial disclosure. I will need the courts backing on that, for sure. I have checked about help with the divorce I'm nor eligible, because we have two property's. Thanks you again
