Hi all

It hasnt been bad really over the last few days as got my accounts back this week for year ending April 2008 and good news is, I dont have any tax to pay.

I havent really been very dedicated to the business with all the divorce stuff going on and have really only just worked to keep the wolves from the door and make sure that myself and my son have everything we need.

I will never be rich and hope that I will never be poor but just want a comfortable lifestyle, [...]

Well folks - it's been a long time since I came on the site - so thought I'd let you know how things are. Ex got engaged to significant other over the summer and divorce was finalised in September awaiting Court approval of the Consent Order. That was eventually sorted following a Court hiccup - meaning it took nearer 6 weeks than the 2 we were led to believe. All done and dusted so to speak - and as a bit of a result I managed to keep my pension entirely and got a share of the equity [...]

well this morning I received my absolute.I knew it was coming as He had rang yesturday and said he already had his.So i got it along with a letter from my solicitor and of course she probally charged a bit for the letter.So waiting for the paperwork to do with paying my bill.

So unbelievably it's nearly over. My OH went to court a couple of weeks ago and decided to self rep at this stage as the costs are getting ridiculous. As his ex had completed her form e two days before the court hearing we didn't think we needed the solicitor as there wasn't alot to say. We got advice and my OH went alone. We lived together 3 years, bought a nice house and got married. We didnt have children as i couldn't stay pregnant for long, always miscarried around 8 weeks! Hubby had 4 kids from 1st marriage and we all got on pretty well, they stayed with us some weekends & on holidays, they lived away so contact wasnt constant.

I thought we happy together on the whole, despite his problems with alcohol & pill addiction (codeine dependency).

Unreasonable behaviour - how unreasonable?

Hi,

Seems the only way to get a divorce (which we both want...) will be for me to petition for unreasonable behaviour.

I'm luck enough to now be on good terms with my x2b; last thing I want to do is upset her and us spend all our money on lawyers. How "naff" can my examples of her unreasonable behaviour be? Does anyone have any examples?

Had lovely day in Bournemouth with Mum & Youngest Sunday.

Paddled, Got soaked! Ate chips, collected shells & pebbles,Walked in the sand, Went on the little pier and stared out to sea. Just what I needed.

Youngest said it was 1st time in months she heard me laugh - really LAUGH! Anyway Nisi was pronounced at 10am today & I never felt a thing.

I have the Nisi in and appear to be getting stuffed everywhere - not too pleasant....

Due to my circumstances I am considering trying to delay the process, if I need to be obstructive then if it works what the hell.

So advice is greatly appreciated.

I have 2 kids 11 and 13, I work in Holland mon to friday and we have house, pensions etc.

The question is that if I need to take the gloves off how do I make it as protracted as possible. Forget the money at the momen [...]

Am feeling out manouevered and out gunned,

stbx is avoiding discussing finances and access and has applied already for a court date following the Nisi.

Am very unsure where this leaves me....

Is it a case of tough luck and the date will arrive and I need to just get on with it or do I have options...

Today, or rather yesterday, 8 September, the Decree Nisi was read in court. I was thinking about it as I sat at home today but it was as if nothing had changed. There was only a slight hollow feeling in the pit of my stomach.

My STBX came home from work and did not mention a word about the Decree Nisi. I made no comment. It was best not to say anything. Divorce seems to be taken as such a 'normal' thing these days. People I have known for year [...]

Have just found out that my Decree Nisi is set for early September. Receiving the solicitor's letter was yet another 'blow' in this long and painful process. Spent most of today wishing I was part of a family again, my family, and that we could have stopped being horrible to each other, and prevented this mess.

Well, its final.

It took 108 days from start to finish, my petition was lodged on 03 March 2008, Decree Nisi on 06 May 2008 and the Absolute on 18 June 2008. Cry Freeeeeeeeeeedom!

Not really, I felt sad getting the Absolute. Seeing 28 years of marriage dissolved by a sheet of A4 paper with a court stamp on it. Not much to show really.

That sadness has passed now and once again I'm looking forwards and not backwards anymore. There is so much I want to [...]

I made the 1st visit to my sol at that begining of Feb.

Mid Feb, scumbag received letter telling him I was going to petition for divorce on the grounds of adultery.

He finally received petition mid March.

Mid April, as scumbag didn't return petition, I signed affidavit, and went for application for decree without his acknowledgement.

He finally acknowledged mid May, and judge said I was trying to hurry decree through (!!!!) and I had to sign another affidavit [...]

Well, I received my Decree Absolute and Section 41 certificate in the post this morning. Both have errors so need to be returned to the court.

My Absolute refers to me as the Petitioner, which would be good had he not cross petitioned me; the court also made the same mistake when granting my Nisi.

The Section 41 Certificate has my 5 yo date of birth down as 1992, when in fact it should be 2002. This again is not acceptable as his name on previous court documents has be [...]

Finally, is something going my way; well I suppose it depends how you look at it!

Got the post today, an event which I have now become to dread. The first letter was from the Legal Commission with a new funding certificate which now includes assistance to file for a Non-Molestation Order. On the downside I should not have been rejected for funding the first time and my x2b shouldn't abuse me so that I feel the need to get a Non-Molestation Order but hey, that is life, and something I seem to be getting used to.

Just have to wait until the 2nd January, 2008 until [...]

Finally received my absolute two weeks ago, after nearly three years, on the day i received it i was floating on air, feeling untouchable by him any longer.. . How quickly that feeling is shattered!

He's informed me (via a note) he will be away visiting his new girlfriend in America at Christmas, and won't be back till boxing day. My children are devastated that he has chosen to be with the American new family, rather than them.

I haven't been on for awhile because i was on holiday. In reality i took 2 weeks off,stayed home to rest, and ended up so stressed by the end i have had to go to the doctor to get my meds increased!!
