Wednesday was the first session in court to sort out finances with my stbx. I have to say it was a 'disturbing', unpleasant experience. It really seams that 'the screws are being tightened' on me as we move towards reaching a final settlement.

Do you not think there should be some kind of a collaborative way for domestic incidents to be resolved? Rather than the heavy handed 'lets arrest them both'..kind of attitude.

My ex and myself would have been happy to let his charges of assault against me to be left on file for a year or so. I would feel safe in the knowledge that they would be FORCED to arrest him and put him on remand if he assaulted me again and I would not suf [...]

I am in court tomorrow with regards the application to extend the Non-Molestation Undertakings. This will be the second Directions Hearing. I was told by the judge at the last hearing to strongly think about dropping the application as I was facing a Costs Order if I lost and the judge felt this was a strong possibility.

This in itself is funny, because I'm the one with the only asset and she won't take her solictors advice and settle on the offer that was given.

Now it may just be me, but in my world if you had paid into your pension long before you got married, why should anyone be entitled to that that piece of you're pension as well.

well another really rubbish, hard week...again sobbed for england every night...havent slept well, eaten much, just drank alot !! i know i shouldnt..

had mtg with ex on tuesday night - to discuss what I wanted.

Meeting with solicitor

Had a meeting with my solicitor this morning to discuss various things.

Firstly, the house transfer into my name. We are just awaiting his signature on the documents, now there is a surprise. Hopefully he will just sign them but no doubt it will be in his own time.

I am still waiting for him to sign my life insurance over to me. I am the one paying the premium every month and he is the one that would benefit from my death. I need to know that there is at least a small amount of mo [...]

I am struggling to complete documents for the courts. Not because I don't have the information or need help in completing them though.

Some of you maybe aware that I decided to withdraw my application to extend my Non-Molestation Undertakings because a judge felt I would lose and it would cost me thousands to pursue and lose. I still stand by the allegations of abuse but decided I couldn't fight any more.

Have had first hearing this morning for the children. This was a directions appointment to decide how we proceed from here. She was represented by counsel, apparently because her legal advisor (may not be a solicitor) wasn't sure what would happen today. A little odd I think.

We were not granted a Welfare report or the testing for alcohol use, but she did acknowledge in court she uses alcohol (above the recommended level) and is on anti depressants.&nbs [...]

The ex is having a probation report done tomorrow. He is pleading guilty to common assault against me and I think it may be dealt with in the magistrates court on friday of next week (03/09/08). Which means I do not have to testify I think. What will the sentence be I wonder?

He slapped me round the face and threw a kebab at me in case you were wondering.

Would comunity service or a fine make him more angry? Maybe a suspended sentence would help him to behave in a [...]

Am new to the idea of having a personal blog. Have not looked at others so not sure what the ettiquet is even.

I am having trouble with an ex boyfriend and that is how I first came upon this site. I have visited the forums, looked at messages + I feel comforted + less isolated knowing I am not the only one suffering.

So another day in court and where am I... !"£$%^&*()(*&^%$£"! nowhere, even after 3months of wiating for medical report which |I doubt will ever arrive I get the Judge had no option but to adjourn the case again as her GP notes are still not available.

Cafcass part 2

Yesterday was the childrens interview by Cafcass to help the cafcass officer reach a conclusion re his recommendations to court. I arrived 5 mins early to find they had already started which I was disappointed about. I wanted the children to see I was there in support. This also forms the childrens statement to court, so quite important.

Not sure it made much difference to what the children said however. Feedback from cafcass officer sounded helpful to me - they [...]

Well, I have started divorce proceedings. I had hoped to avoid this for so long but really it was always inevitable. I don't feel too bad now as I am well into recovery but it is still very sad:(

I have the Nisi in and appear to be getting stuffed everywhere - not too pleasant....

Due to my circumstances I am considering trying to delay the process, if I need to be obstructive then if it works what the hell.

So advice is greatly appreciated.

I have 2 kids 11 and 13, I work in Holland mon to friday and we have house, pensions etc.

Pointless mixing the issues. Am like many of us going through a bitter divorce and stbx seems to be getting it all her own way.

I live in Holland mid week and only get to see the kids at weekends. Now stbx wants me to stop coming home until the divorce is final. So Christmas I need of stay away, my parents live 5 hours away and it is really not suitable.

As a man it seems hat I have little or no rights - at least it feels like it.
