Happy Birthday Wikivorce (and a Happy Easter to all)

Friday the 21st March 2008 is Wikivorce's first birthday. It seems a lot longer to us on the Wikivorce team, but it is just one year ago today that the website was launched. A lot has happened in our first year, we have come a long, long way. We are very proud that Wikivorce is now the leading divorce website in the UK (based on Alexa ranking and traffic), and that we just recently welcomed our 10,000th member.

But, most importantly of all, we are very happy to have been able to help so many people at a time in their lives when they needed help.

One year ago Wikivorce was just an idea, now it is a lively, thriving community. The website is just an enabler, what really matters is the community. It is wonderful to witness each and every day the dozens of examples of support and friendship, as people interact through the forum, the blogs and in the chat room. It is fantastic to see peoples faces in the photo gallery, people who have become real friends.

We want to thank each and every member who has helped to make Wikivorce the caring and supportive environment that so many people going through divorce need. Without you Wikivorce is nothing. With you, it makes a real difference in peoples lives. Thank you all so much.

I have been with you for nearly 8 months of your journey and I for one am extremely glad you were born. This is definitely a place to find friendship, advice and support at a time when we need it a great deal. A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!

		Wiki started just a week after I separated from my now ex husband and has proved to be a God send to me. The site has and still is a good source of advice, friendship and encouragement when times are rough. Wiki must be the wisest one year old there is!

		Happy birthday wiki...after my 8 years in fruitless divorce litigation I found you (or you found me) on New Years Day 2008! You have provided me relief in the isolation that I had come to accept...and from what I read...set a ripple of so much to so many that tides may turn for the better in the divorce tsunamii in the UK...i take my hat off to you!

		Hi Wiki team, just popped in to reply to a message from fbgs and saw it was your birthday - sorry I missed it and hope you had a great party! Seriously, without the Wiki team and meeting all the great people on here, I do not have a clue how I would have got through the dark months, but I did and now here I am living with my new man (who I met on here), buying our first house together and we got engaged on 29/2 (yes I proposed to him!) What can I say but the BIGGEST THANK YOU EVER to Ian and the Wiki team and I sincerely hope that you are there for people like me for a long time in the future.
