House SoldPosted by mike407 in my story, my day today |
Well we have just about agreed terms. A developer whats to buy the house and has the cash.
I could hold out for another £10k if the right buyer turns up in the next 6 weeks, but don't think that will be likely.
The court papers arrived today, haven't opened them.
So today first day with the boys, a quick trip to some letting agents but not much joy. The flat down the road which has been empty for months may have gone this morning.
Great after noon with the boys flying and chatting to mates. After tea we went for a walk, but I'm feely so lonely. even though the boys are hee with me, I'm feeling really lonely.
May have also sold the chicken co-op some one is coming for that tomorrow. Used freeads.co.uk was suprised that it went in 2 days.
Will start putting every thing else on there to get rid of as much as possible to raise some extra cash.
Go to do some thing to stop feeling so alone.
Have some good periods and feel like I have my "mojo" back, and start doing things for tomorrow.
Went to the GP and got a letter to book appointment with a consulor. Need to do that soon.
Been actually thinking about finding a new job, but their is a trap in benifits, CSA and income, where there is a whole income bracket that seems to give you the same net income.
The boys are happy playing on the computer.
( Need to get some playing cards as monoply is too long for this time of night)

Hi Mike In the early days I to felt alone even when I had the kids with me I think it was because my mind was somewhere else with everything swimming around it. Had my kids all last week tiding the house and changing gear from single father of 3 with a noisy messy house to the single guy with a silent tidy house although I need to hit the ironing hard. Good that you have start to get the counseling rolling this will help you focus. Take care mate |

Mike, I think alot of parents are currently on holiday, leaving us few alone in our houses, you are not alone. In these economic hard times, sounds sensible to let the house go for 10k less than you wanted. At least you will be able to move on and settle in something that will be all yours (abeit rented, you can still call it your home for you and the visiting boys). Then when you have found that new job, you can really start to plan your next move with more confidence. Sounds like you are adjusting ok and able to ask for help. Keep going Mike and let us know how the offer on the house goes, fingers crossed. Supercali xx |
