As things have been going well for the past few weeks with the new gal in my life, we decided a few days in London together would be a good way to start things off and see how well we fare together in 5 days of constant contact.

I figure I have nothing to lose.  We've had many discussions about my history, her goals, our expectations, and the most important  part of all of this - my son's feelings.  I'll be flying in for a few days of business, then she'll be arriving later in the week for 5 more days of sightseeing and enjoying the city life.

My son will be visiting his mother.  I can't help

It's been a little over a week since I met my new friend.

We've had dinner at my house twice now (because I'm quite the amateur gourmet).  Dinner out one night.  I spent Christmas morning with my son, and took him to the airport that afternoon so that he could visit his mother for part of the day, so I spent Christmas night out with her also.  We did a movie last night and out for a drink.  

Things seem to be moving along nicely.  All has been just good conversation and company.  We've been discussing pasts, presents, and futures quite a bit.  I think we've been very mature about setting

Just thought I'd share a little positive thoughts.

With the actual completion of my divorce only less than 2 weeks behind me, and having completely written off all thoughts of dating and letting my friends "hook me up", I happened across an unexpected event...

...I was invited to my friend's house warming party.  His wife brought friends from her work also.  I was intrigued by one of the young ladies there, but made no effort to speak with her at the party.  I asked my friend and his wife about her in conversatoin about a week later.  His wife mentioned that she had asked about me the next day
