Our suffering is very personal to us, our story, our journey, our bruises... people try to say and do the right thing... well intentioned but they don't really understand what it means for us... not really.

 My healing is very much underway... a journey of discovery, gradually breaking down the fear and limitations in certain areas of my life to really start to understand who I am and what I am capable of without relying on someone else to tell me I'm worth their attention, or that what I'm doing is right or good or that I am an acceptable human being or that I am not all these things. 

There is part of me that always meets a new year with mixed emotion.  Sadness for what has gone, Excitement for what is to come.

I have never travelled on the main roads of life, my childhood, teenage years, transition into adulthood always felt a million miles from normality, what others did, the road others travelled.  Reaching nearly 40 I know now that much of my difficulties in maintaining healthy relationships stem from the experiences that shaped me in my younger years.  Trust, belief in others, self reliance, confidence, inner resources and self care were all threads that I found
