How to search the solicitor directory
1) Using the town / post code search:
As you type in your town name or postcode, a list of matches appears. Use the mouse to select your town from the list.
2) Optional Critera:
You can narrow your search to include only those firms that:
- offer a Free first appointment
- accept Legal Aid cases
- adopt a collaborative approach
etc.

What to look for when selecting a solicitor
Free initial appointment: Many firms offer this and it's great to meet face to face before making your choice.
Collaborative Law: Some firms use a collaborative approach to negotiate a settlement without going through the courts. Many are members of Resolution  .
Legal aid: If you are on a low income you may qualify for legal aid funding from the legal services commission . However only certain solicitors accept this work.
