Meeting with Solicitor today 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Hello I have got my first session with my solicitor today. Here is the situation. I have left my husband and children (3) and have moved to a different county. He is divorcing me for unreasonable behaviour. I totally agree where the children should live and payments to them from me. Our house is in negative equaty so nothing from the house. WE have no assets together at all. He is in the RAF and will get a very big pension and about 60k when he leaves in 7 years time. We have been married 19 years. Am i entitled to anything from his pension and also his lump sum. He hasnt filed the papers with the court yet he is doing that next month. Do we really need to spend alot of money on solicitors??

You will be entitled to a share of his pension/lump sum - I would advise you to consult an Independent Financial Advisor who fully understands pension splitting.
