We're one year on. Almost £35,000 gone to solicitors from our pot; (and that's with me self-repping!)...and we're not even up to our First Meeting; which has been defered until october to spend yet more of OUR money on specialists: Valuars etc.

I hate to use the word VICTIM; but I have no choice but to be a pawn in this rediculoous game. I think by now; ex's attitude is that he'd rather line their pockets than mine. In our pot there is enough to make a Lump Sum payment to me; but in many cases people lose enormously.

So does that mean he can spend all the savings (30K ) which are in his account on fancy solicitors , save his own salary excess and I can do nothing about it?
Would it be taken into account at the end if hes spent our savings while ive self repped ?

I do know that we worked together for TWO YEARS; and he sat on all the profit.
Since seperation I have lived on around £4,000 this year. Whilst he's bought a new Audi, banked over £100,000 (and pretends to be earning just £35k a year) he's lent his mate £30,000 and another mate £15,000 and his parents £25,000

.... and me the WIFE; gets no support; can't afford legal fees; and gets ousted from the marital home. Because he can have expensive legal representation in court; his Barrister persuaded a judge that I have a glorious career that I simply don't have!!!! I DID have a good career; then worked with him instead since 2005. So that's gone also.

There's no Justice. Maybe I should now apply for emergency spousal support; until he gets his finger out and accepts a fair division of profits.

surely thats not right ! Is there anyone out there who can give an answer to this . The calculator here need looking at as it seems to me that you can only have what the other is prepared to give unless you can afford legal help, and if they choose to give nothing well , thats it ( unless children involved of course ) and yet I put all my details into the calculator which included length of marriage , children etc and it came out with very nice maintenance figure ! So whats that about ? It appears I have to be grateful if he offers any help at all , while he spends away at our so called marital Pot!

I had a little bit of inheritence left; and I've ploughed through that. It's not easy. I eat reduced foods, go for 3for2 deals; I had a lodger; there's Poundland and Primark for everything else!
