I have my final hearing next week and my STBX has accepted an offer but when we contacted his solicitors they said that no offer has been agreed. I am under the impression that what offer i make is not being relayed back to my stbx. On the final hearing day i know if i was to speak with the STBX this could get sorted. Or can we enforce some sort of mediation to keep cost down?

Do i need prepare some sort of cost to date or just what the cost for that date

If you and s2bx have agread terms you both need to contact your own solicitors and inform them of this, thus saveing a small fortune by avoiding the final hearing waiting utill you attend the hearing to inform the solicitors of this is simply throwing money away, make haste contact the solicitors and cancel the hearing.

My STBX Sol is adamant that his client has not agreed to an offer and therfore the FH will go ahead - my STB is very easily lead and his solicitor is out to make money as he has never been interested in an attempt to resolve to save cost. The Final Hearing will happen next week and there is nothing else i can do. I'll just have to wait on the morning to see if we can try again.

You are self-repping are you not?

You say your stbx has accepted your offer, do you have proof of this? What does he say about his solicitor's assertion that the offer has not been accepted?

If your stbx IS amenable then perhaps you'd consider getting your stbx's written acceptance and writing to the court with a copy of it saying that as you have both agreed a settlement you wish to vacate the Final hearing and will be submitting instead a draft Consent Order for the Court's consideration.

The letter to the court should be copied to your stbx's solicitors for their information.
