crikey reading some of the posts on here i am starting to think that i am a complete deranged mad woman, not going to post some of the things i did for fear of getting hate mail , and yes they were all done in the first few months of me finding out about the ow and kicking him out, and yes all in the heat of the moment, and yep i did regret it the next day but the total deverstation and anger in me at the time made if feel good somehow, of course now 10 months on i don't do anything like that and am now looking forward to a better life without him..... but i will tell you one of the less destructive things that i did.... my stb ex was addicted to porn, had a massive stash that he thought i new nothing about, plus hiding dvd's and other disgusting stuff all around the house, so when he left i hunted the house gathered it all up put it in a bag plus a video case full of porno's, then when a few weeks later i found out where he and the ow was living i went to the flat, knocked on the door waited till i saw the light come on and that someone was answering the door and emptied all his crap on her doorstep and left without saying a word. knowing him though and the excellent liar that he is he probably managed to convince her it was mine

The desire for revenge, given what we have all been through, is completely normal. Whether we act on it or not is up to the individual, but wanting to lash out is entirely understandable. And what is the worst we're talking here? A pair of dirty gloves? After all the betrayal, lies, hurt, etc that have been visited upon us, this seems like small potatoes indeed.

If you have indulged your revenge fantasies, good for you. I hope it temp[orarily made you feel better and I won't waste my sympathy on the victims - the karmic boomerang goes that way too. If you haven't acted out your revenge fantasies, good for you. I hope that this made you feel better about how you handled things.

I would like to think there is a better use for the higher moral ground that to use it to throw stones at people you think are below you

My philosophy has been to do nothing!!!! Let her believe I am amicable and not being nasty. Its given me the opportunity to get loads of information behind me should I need to use it. Revenge often comes without trying. She didn't find what she is looking for. Spends money on big items but does not get satisfaction from them. Has nobody to turn to for REAL support. Has family problems but no support from a partner and worst of all for her my daughter lives with me and has given me full support because of what she has done. Maybe my revenge will be to suddenly fire the guns in all directions on the divorce and watch her panic is many directions. Hope she never fnds this site as she is ill prepared for a good fight.

Yes Mish, I did similar. (about all I did) I set up a false email account and pretended to be somebody else and emailed her saying that I heard that she had split up with husband and as I'd always fancied her could we meet. She fell for it hook line and sinker.Her vanity got the better of her) We chatted for ages until she asked how I'd got her email. I said she was being talked about in the pub. She went ballistic !!! As I could even give her her 'secret'mobile phone no. she didn't trust anyone. Well I also didn't trust anyone after what she did to me.
