Discuss divorce related pension issues. Is the CETV valuation valid for final salary schemes? How much is a pension worth when you offset it against the house?

Pension before marriage plus solicitor letter 2 Months ago
I ahve read the recent thread re "pension before marraige".
I am confused and wonder if i could get clarity.
My ex has put in writing via the sol that he is not interested in my pension - this is before we started the form E completion. He assumeed I had very little (I thought the same) but now have found I do have total of £140k in the pot, of which c£95k was from before the marriage. On his form E he has forgotten some of the pensions he contributed to - didn't even bother getting up to date CETVs which indicates to me that they aren't important to him.Mine will be too him now however!
The marriage - 10 years. We are early 40s.I also brought in alot of equity to the marriage so no benefit in me trading my pension pot for equity.
1. Whta bearing will the solicitor's letter have on whether he can now ask for my pension CETVs to be part of the matrimonial assets
2. My sol has left me with the impression that pre marriage pension is exluded - I am not so sure now from the threads here ....
Can you help. thanks
