I would like to know whether university classifies as full time education. Our consent order states that maintenance should be paid until my children leave full time education.

Unfortunately "full time education" is ambiguous and open to interpretation. It could be seen as the end of full time secondary education or tertiary education. The only binding opinion would be that of a judge which is an expensive way to find out.

I was going to say, we haven't finalised anything but my solicitor keeps saying 'til end of secondary. (He actually says until they are 17). Although he did casually say kids normally go to their Dads for cars and university sort of stuff. Seems to be a grey area. Any experts out there?

For anyone who is interested, the solicitor I first went to many moons ago who didn't give free advice and I won't tell you how much they charged per hour (needless to say I had to give them up), advised that I should go for "global" maintenance.
This was to include both spousal and child payments to alleviate the possibility of stbx going back to the court to reduce payment before she finishes University. That is why I have not gone through CSA for child maintenance which of course stops at 18.
The idea was that payments would be reduced once she finishes Uni and is capable of getting a job.
They were pretty adamant that this would be awarded. This is why it is so important to get the consent order worded correctly.
