Hi. Wondered if anyone can tell me if my soon to be XH still has to maintain our children in the event of me either moving in with my long term partner, or marrying him. Dont think it's fair that their natural father should be allowed to stop paying under these circumstances, I would feel extremely awkward if my boyfriend had to take on financial liability for my kids. Also, would boyfriends income affect how much child maintenance my kids are entitled to from their father?

The non-resident parent always has to pay for their children up until they are 18 and your new partners income makes no difference to how much he has to pay.
