Please help. My husband left in July last year, I started divorce proceedings, paid out £300 along with odd bits for courts, etc. The courts then ruled that he should pay all the divorce costs. My solicitor has sent him a bill but he ignores it and recently his girlfriend has contacted my solicitors to say she doesn't know where he his and has no contact with him which is a complete lie. I have just hd a letter from my solicitor saying that although they are taking enforcement proceedings against him it is still my responsibility to pay for any outstanding costs and that I have the right to recover them from him. They say they will undertake this work on my behalf, obviously at a cost to myself. Can they do this if the court ordered him to pay the costs.

Also, he has been with this woman for almost 12 months, within the first couple of months he hit her and broke her cheek bone, something which he never did to me there was never any violence, he has since hit her several times. He had one lot of maintenance taken from his wages then he left his employment and went to work for a relation away from the area for cash so he wouldn't have to pay me any maintenance. He has now turned back up in the area and is threatening me saying the social services will let him see his kids. I have constant txts and phone calls from the pair of them hassling me, I have had to change my mobile number 3 times which has cost me £35 a time. I am struggling to make ends meet and keep a roof over our heads. The house is now in my name, the only thing he did agree to do was to l sign it over to me along with a secured loan which I had to add onto the mortgage. I am at my wits end, I feel like I will never be free of them, the kids went up there for a bit, then they split up again, the whole environment is not good for them around their father and his girlfriend. One of my biggest fears is that my eldest has to walk past the house twice a day to school and back and they keep filling his head with rubbish.

hi, i would advise going on the local court website they are now offering a service done entirely online for debt recovery, not sure the cost but worth a look. as regards his none payment of maintenance you can take him back to court and ask him to supply his bank statements to prove he has recieved no income.
other people on this site will be able to advise more on that.
