Please Help me 7 Months, 1 Week ago
|
|
Hi,
I got married in India and after marriage we came together to Uk. After coming here, her behaviour changed towards me and i think, she marriied me to enter in this country. After 5 months, she raised sexual assult complaint againt me and left the house. After one year, police gave me no further action and then i applied for divorce. Now, it is 6 months, me and my solicitor is tring to find her to serve divorce petition papers. She has stopped woking at place where she used to work. She has changed her gym, mobile number etc. She is not registered in election. I even tried to search her through credit search, but they were not able to search her. Police & natioanl insurrance are not ready to give me her address.
Please adice me, what should i do. My solicitor always say me that we can not proceed till we serve her petition papers. I am totally lost, what should I do to search her.
Warm regards
Ashish

Sounds familiar.
Mate of mine was shafted as well. His wife came over and married him, then told him that she didnt love him and she was leaving him.
After she ran away she was found with a boyfriend who was already in the UK.
Moral of the story beware of foreign women fluttering their eyelids at you.

Hi Ashish, Your situation sounds complicated. It sounds as though she doesn't want to be found. And even if she shows up, and you serve the papers, she does not have to accept your Petition. This may take five years seperation, without reason.
If her reaons for remaining married are to do with immigration matters; (which may take years) then lying-low is probably her choice. You can report her to 'Missing Persons' (through Police etc) but I imagine this is a waste of everyones valuable time and effort in looking for someone who may wish not to be found.

If she made allegations to sexual abuse; (and left the house) regardless of no further charges, her whereabouts are treated with confidentiality.
There are 'safe houses' for women in the UK: There are several safe houses specifically for Asian women. Regardless of no charges brought to you, if she told someone about this, then she may have been offered such accomodation and has a rights to her whereabouts protected.
