Have been looking on here re pension split and have learnt that an ex is entitled to ?% of the value of the pension value whilst married but not when separated. Is this correct or is my thinking way off?
Stupid question but what is CETV and CEB(?)
Secondly - is it usually a 50/50 split
With regards to an endowment that is in joint names but only paid in to by one party. Does that value get split like divorce i.e the value and subsequent split is dependant on value of endowment at time of split or on what the expected value will be when it finishes in 11 years.
Endowment cannot be cancelled as in joint names and other half does not agree but also has never contributed to it and is demanding half the FINAL value
Any help gratefully received

Re:Pension and endowment split 3 Months, 1 Week ago
Hi There are pension experts here who will give you a better answer than I can. A ctev is the cash equivalent transfer value ie what the pension is worth . This is the value used by courts to decide how much the pension is worth and so decide how to divide it . The % split depends on what other assets you have and what each persons "needs" are both now and in the future. The endowment has a value and will also be put in the "pot" . You will really need to post more information regarding what assets you have ( joint and separate )any children , your ages and income and the length of your marriage , then people here will be able to advise you more good luck
