Can anyone help and give me an idea as to what to expect or what I can do?

My extb is determined to take this to final hearing and I can't afford legal representation. For the final hearing she's organised both a solicitor and a barrister to be in on the 'kill'.

is there any chance divorce lawyer can give me her opinion on what to expect as I think I really have to put together an offer before the final hearing even though it's probably going to go all the way.

Today i've received yet another text and been told by my extb that she now considers her offer to be too generous and now everythings on the table? Not sure exactly what she left out of her demands though apart from the pound of flesh?

Have had a look at your figures.

Your case comes under the category of cases where "needs" outweighs the other factors. ie not really enough income to go round.

It is hard to guess as courts deliver a wide range of outcomes on similar circumstances but here goes...

I would guess:

- she keeps 100% of house and 25% of your pension

- you keep rest of the pension
as the pension valuation is large verses the other assets then the actual pension valuation is critical. Your figure i guess is the CETV - often when offsetting a pension vs other assets the pension is devalued to only 25 to 50% of its CETV as it cannot be cashed today (this should be your arguement). On the other hand armed forces pensions are potentially worth more than the CETV (this will be her arguement and she may want it valued by an actuary). This gives the pension a value in the range 60k to perhaps over 300k which is very vague and creates an issue when trying to predict the outcome of this case.

- you pay child support - but no spousal maintenance
(this is key in the outcome - do you or do you not pay spousal maintenance on top of the child maintenance)

In your offer i would think you want to offer something along lines above but trying at all costs to avoid spousal maintenance.

Child maintenance is 25% of your net income so around 400 / mth.
