hi
at what point in time is the property/other assets /cash to be divided up valued /quatified...
1) date of seperation
2) 2 year period after seperation
3) 5 year period after seperation assuming one party can and does not agree to the divorce after the 2 year period
4) other ? basically at what date is the property/other assets/cash valued/quantified/ ?

Hi PaulB,
The values of assets and statement of incomes are taken during the ancillary relief process, ie they're not linked to the date of separation.

in other words if there are no grounds for a petition to be granted , then this will be eiter 2 years (or 5 ) after seperation ......

Hi Paul,
If there are no grounds now for a divorce then you can divorce, if you both agree, after 2 years separation and if one of you disagrees, after 5 years separation.
