Does anyone else worry that their ex / extb will stumble upon this site, and therefore see all your posts ? Has this happened to anyone ?

As Wiki is so succesful, the possibility of this happening must become ever greater.

Been thinking of starting a blog recently, but don't want my ex to see all of my thoughts, as she could certainly use it to her advantage.

I could, of course, overcome this somewhat by removing my photo's to retain my anonymity, but I am loathe to do this, as I kinda want others on the site to see who they're talking to !

Maybe Wiki could provide a facility whereby one can upload a photo, but make it unavailable to all but friends ?

I've thought this Techy. i certainy wouldn't want this to happen. I've found wiki such a source of support, and I enjoy being part of the community that's built up here. I'd hate to have to think about this before posting, or worse, that I'd be tempted to use it to post things for her to see. I think that would compromise the integrity of my posts, if that doens't sound too pompous.

My thoughts exactly Sun. Every time I post, it crosses my mind that my ex, could, just possibly be reading it, which, even though I ignore this thought, could, I suppose, compromise the integrity of each post !

Funnily enough I woke up in the middle of the night with exactly the same thought!!!

I decided then that perhaps I needed to be a bit more vague with some of the detail and use a little poetic license here and there with the intimate details.

Mind you, if he does read this, he will know exactly how I feel about him and what a lying, lowlife, sc**bag he is and then realise that he has lost the best thing that ever happened to him.

He might also realise how much hard cash he is likely to lose!!!

Hi Techy, this is a topic that has been raised by quite a few people over the 4 or so months that I have been a wiki member. Some people are concerned, others not. I am one of those who are concerned. I try to maintain a degree of anonymity-no personal pictures, and I only leave my 'real' name at the bottom of PMs to trusted people-never on blog comments.
I would hate my stbx to know how scared and vulnerable I feel at times. He doesn't deserve the satisfaction of knowing how much I struggle somedays-though it might be an eye opener if he could see other peoples responses to his behaviour-and that I am not the only person who thinks he's a scumbag
But, I will keep on coming on wiki as it does me far more good than him-plus he's a bit useless with this IT technology-until recently, he thought you could only access your email account from your home computer!!!

Hi all,meant be last quick read thru before bed but had to answer this one.

Sure my ex has found site but don't think he'll read it because he still likes to think he has done nothing wrong and can't cope with the reality of it all!

Even so,might be yet another reason to change my username and my e-mail on home computer cos I'm fairly sure he's been accessing that and of course I get an e-mail when new entries posted on forums etc.

Hmmm, might need some technical help on how to do that!
