My husband was convicted and came home after his release on parole. Since his return I have been treated like a prisoner. His family have said horribvle things to him about me and seems like hes punishing me. I have got in touch with police and they said it wasnt urgent and left. Things have become worse after that because he and his family are making a mock of me for calling the police.I know I am not over reacting. I used to feel sorry for him when he was in prison but he is enjoying putting me in "prison"solicitors dealing with divorce and he just got first letter. He was sad but after he comes from his families house he starts to sing loudly and I am very worried. His sisters are solicitors... my children tell me mummy give daddy one more chance. I am very confused. If I ever take my case back it will be only because of kids. I do not have any feelings for him but my kids have a very bright future with him..plz any advice

Hi ssoria, I wouldn't stay in the relationship if i were in your shoes, it doesnt seem to me that you're safe living in the house with him. Its never a good idea to save a marriage just because of the kids, the kids can still see both prents on divorce. Its sad that the police won't help but they never do unless he physically harms you or makes threats to harm you. The singing loudly bit worries me too, it sounds like its a punishment thing to drive you mad for upsetting him. You need to talk to a solicitor for advice on how to divorce him & be protected from any future harm.

I know we will do anything for our children, but what about you can you live a lie with a person you have no feelings for, or do you want to do something about it and have a life a life that will make you happy , your far from happy it's not nice nor right being bullied , has he only been like this on his release or has he always been like this ? i know many people will say a person changed since being inside.you got anybody near you to give you some support through these hard times , you certainly will have us here at wiki, keep posting and come in chat to get it off your chest.

You need to see your solicitor as soon as possible and get a letter sent to him advising him that if he threatens and bullies you anymore you will have to take the appropriate action. If you consider this has harassment, then so should the police, they also will send a letter to him.
You must not let him carry on this behaviour it needs to stop now.
It does not matter who his sisters are, it does not give him permission to be a BULLY. Indeed if they were any good at their job they would be advising him not to act like he is!!!!!!
I know it is hard when the children are involved but you should not imprison yourself in the hope that things might be fine if you stayed with him, they wont.
Give your local victim support group a call they will be able to point you in the right direction.
Please stay strong,but do not let him scare and bully you.
sounds like he should still be doing a stint in prison to me!!!
