Wife's debts before I met her 4 Months, 2 Weeks ago
Hi. Number of years ago (before I knew her), my wife somehow got into something like 30,000pounds worth of debt. She tells me they were debts from her ex - that's all I know, so cannot elaborate. If we divorce, am I liable to take on some/all of her debt? Seems rather unfair - as the debt was created before I was dating my wife! Also, I know this is in the wrong section - but whilst I'm typing here - I've been paying into a teacher's pension for 12 years. We have been married for 4 years. Is it generally the case that she will able to claim 50% of the pension?
Thanks.
