I have just received form E from the other party and have lots or queries etc. I want to request further information (credit card bills, statements for accounts he forgot to mention, explanations for large sums) do I have to wait to the court date to request these or do I do so now? If so, do I request through the court or can I go direct to him?

You do not have to wait for a court hearing to ask your questions.
Put down everything you want answered in a schedule, referenced to the relevant sections of Form E, put the case no, Court, the parties' names on it and entitle it 'Questionnaire on Respondent's (or Applicant's) Form E of Xth Month 2008", date it and sign it at the end and send it off to your stbx or their sol.
