My husband has filed for a divorce, stating tha he lives back with his mum, when in act he has rented a flat. the sols he has used has filed for a divorce in their area, when in fact he lives 200 miles away, can he do that ??? Do u have to live in the area of the court, or can u get divorced in say a newcastle court when u live in london ?? please advise. thanks lee

You can get divorced in England & Wales if you habitually live in either of them. Which particular court you apply to is up to you.

You can take your x to Court but you can't make them think.
