I wonder if anyone can help with filling in my Form H?I am self repping and the First Appointment before the Judge is on Thursday 10 am.
At the top of the form it says " Please note: it is a requirement of the rules to provide full costs information to the court" Do they mean receipts are required?
in italics underneath " do not include costs incurred in respect of other aspects of the case, for example, the divorce or civil partnership proceedings etc"
Does this mean I cannot enter costs for the Petition, Nisi, or Absolute?
In the heading SUMMARY OF COSTS ESTIMATE (under Grand Total Box) "state what has been paid towards the grand total above"I have paid the grand total sum, so I presume I say "ALL"? (most by cheque so do not have receipts if these are required, and are they?
I have been led to beleive that divorce proceeding costs petition, Decree Nisi, Absolute, I had to buy a PC as he took mine, postal costs etc go into Section A part 1 box 4 under Indemnity Rate and the same in box 7 (Total of Section A)
Then costs I have incurred in Ancillary Relief proceedings, my time for this element only (form E), photocopies, recorded deliveries stationary etc go in Section B Part 3 box 9 and where applicable cross out solicitor and put Litigant in Person.Can anyone clarify?

well, no one else has replied so I'll do my best.
The FA is all about ancillary relief, so costs of nisi etc are not a part of that. However, whilst discussing your nisi etc with solicitor (if you ever did) you may well have spent a lot of time discussing ancillary relief matters so I reckon you could argue that bit.
Receipts etc will not be necessary at this point, but it is possible they may be asked for later. If you are being straight I think its exceptionally unlikely. Good luck with claiming for the PC!

Looks like you'll have to cross out "solicitor" to have anywhere to write anything? Although it does allow those without a solicitor to sign it.

3. The new rules require the completion of Forms H and H1 (see rule 2.61F of the Family Proceedings Rules 1991, as amended). Form H is to be used at interim hearings so that the court has available to it a realistic estimate of the costs incurred to date.
Form H1 is for use at a final hearing .........
Parties should ensure that the information contained in these forms is as full and accurate as possible and that any sums already paid in respect of a party’s ancillary relief costs are clearly set out."
Looks to me like an invitation to list all costs you've had in claiming Ancillary Relief?

There are Civil Procedure rules for litigants in person - http://www.justice.gov.uk/civil/procrules_fin/contents/parts/part48.htm#rule48_6
but I'm not sure if they apply to Ancillary Relief claims.

A Form H is for the legal costs of the ancillary relief only. So all you can put on there is your time - postage and copying etc are not included on the form, nor are any other costs.
