I am now hot-footing to the court with a request for an extension (to my statement being in by next Weds).
The postal strike has interferred with my chances of getting back my defense evidence to add to the bundles by then.

Luckilly, I called the court yesterday, and found out the date. I have NOT yet received any written instruction from them!
They have two months to file 108 pages, I have four working days, from court instruction, to defend!

You're right! It's not the OJ trial. BUT; It's false allegations! And the glove doesn't fit!!!!

In 'family' court matters it seems hard to prove 'he said - she said'.... Unlike Criminal cases that rely on factual evidence and witnesses. I think in family court, it remains at the descretion of the judge's assumption of character, or, which of the Barristers presents the best case.
At the first meeting the judge asked if I intended to defend without legal representation. I replied that I was not without legal advice, but felt that I knew my life better, so wished to represent myself.

I am going to the ends-of-the-earth (well, as far as a statement from Cuba actually) in getting togther the proof that he's lying, and appreciated both the continued support of this forum, and it's legal members.

...she's probably trying to build a case citing (your) adultery!
Just reply "No Sir, I am not having a relationship with that woman, I'm simply strolling in the park with a dog"

An update to my selp-repping efforts:

My second statement is five pages long, (which contains the bits I have sought to defend with 'proof'. I've ended the statement with Will C's suggested words:

"For all the reasons set out above I oppose the Application and ask the Court to dismiss the same, with costs against the Applicant in view of his abuse of the Court's process."

But, that didn't even chip the iceblock of the 108 pages of diatribe that the Court Bundle (Trial bundle?) contains, so I've added a 'Second supplemental Statement', that deals with the rest of the rubbish of 'he-said-she-said'. (My version of events, with supporting e-mails etc)

This second supplemental statement is currently 13 pages, (we have a one day hearing, and I don't want to short change myself and leave anything undefended). I imagine it will run to 20 pages, with further exhibits.

Someone advise please: Does this sound normal?
