I think the really sad thing is that there seem to be so many men on this site who would do anything to see MORE of their children but are denied it. Yet at the same time there are men out there (inc my STBX) those who are offered as much contact that they want and decline the offer.

My faith in men was shot when he treated my children this way, but it has been restored (slightly) by those men on here who really do care about their children and put them as their first priority.

You are right - maybe your ex may come to his senses - I hope so for your childrens sake - but maybe you should not rely on this.

If he has a "new" family - (are they his kids?) he may be trying to forget his mistakes and begin again (false we know but his gulit may be driving his selfishness??)

Whatever his reasons are - you should try your best not to try to second guess him (easy to say - I know!!) and just try to get through the days as best you can.

Enjoy all the lovely moments with your children - try not to think about him (again easy to say) but just enjoy.

do you have family/friends nearby to help you??

I have always found it hard to ask for help - but since I did I have realise how many friends I do have - and how many really want to help how ever they can.
