Would he drive 6 miles there and back every weekend to watch a football match ?
12 miles is nothing tbh i find he is being unreasonable considering your doing the picking up and dropping off for school and other activities.Would he carry his threat out ?not to see his child.

The first evening I refused, so he didn't pick her up. Instead he called her on the phone to say he missed her but couldn't see her because I was being selfish.
Since then I have been slitting the travel, but I really don't think I should.

hi there,
i've been doing a 500 mile roundtrip for 7 years to see my kids. If i didn't travel to pick them up I would never see them.
i've been asking my ex to meet me half way for years with no success. The one time she did meet me 50 miles away from her house when my car broke down she told me she would deduct the time she had spent driving from my next contact!
I wish my ex was as accomodating as you!!
Meeting halfway shows the kids that you are both serious about contact as well as breaking the journey up for them.
good luck!!

I have found the time when your in a car with your child a really great time to talk you have the child's attenttion and focus and he could really have a good old natter with her .To say your selfish is very cruel and there is no need to slate each other off to the child they love both there parents no matter what.
I feel for you mike but this is only a 10 - 15 min drive.

sorry,
absolutely right...it is only a 15 minute drive and he is being ridiculous.
I was just trying to point out that there should be a combined responsibility. However when you are talking of a 15 minute journey then it is just petty.

I think he is being petty, but then on the same hand it could be argued that I was being petty if I dont agree to share the journeys.
We cant even talk to each other now, cos I just think he is a bully.
I've made an appointment for a mediation even though he refuses to go.

Hi there
I wouldnt waste the money on the session. You are likely to be told that it is your duty to facillitate contact and his to commit to it, and that travel should be shared....I am afraid that is the party line.
