I was looking for opinions here regarding the practical arrangements for contact.

My ex-h decided after 4 years that he wasn't going to pick our girl up AND drop her off anymore when he has conatct. He told me (rather than discuss it) that if I didn't take her to his house on his days that he simply wouldn't see her.

I take her to her activity clubs and do the after-school pick up every day. I don't see why I should also take her to see him too.

I'm not sure whether I'm just too angry to think straight, or if it is the absent parents responsibility.

Can anyone offer their opinion?

from a personal point of view my ex lives 10 mins drive away and I told him that he has to do the pick up and drop off. He makes no other efforts to see them except every other weekend so I think he can do the travelling.

Some men drive hundreds of miles to see their kids, mine struggles with about 6 miles each way.

Has he said why the sudden stop??

Try talking to him again, when you have calmed down.

Lol, hes 6 miles away too.

His reasons were that the petrol is getting dearer and by principle he thinks I should half him the journeys.

lol, maybe we were married to a bigamist too!!!

What is considered the usual way?

I don't want to be fighting my corner only to find that most people share the travel.
