Advice Needed 5 Months, 1 Week ago
|
|
I am just about to leave my wife and move in with the love of my life. I know my wife won't be happy and probably won't consent, but can i file for divorce on account of my adultery? Thanks in advance

Excellent idea Hutch, but unfortunately, as peter says, NO! lol.
I think that if you move in with your new love, your old love just might want to divorce you - or if not she may decide to make your life hell. Women tend to do that for some reason.

Hi there
It doesnt have to be a long drawn out battle.
Adutlery doesnt usually happen in a vacuum, perhaps there were reasons for your straying? If so, you can look at a petition based on unreasonable behaviour, that is your wife's behaviour during the latter part of the marriage.
The other option is to await a petition from her if that is what she is likely to do.

I might of mis read this or be jumping to conclusions but it seems that your wife has no idea of your affair and the fact you want to divorce her. Maybe you should of been more of a man and told her how you felt before starting the affair and bringing her world crashing down on her, and certainly before advertising the fact on here !!
Don't even understand how some people laughed at your question.
I wish your wife all the best for the future.

When life gets you down, just remember that you cannot change yesterday but you CAN change tomorrow and remember that today is a gift to you...that is why it's called the "Present"...don't waste today on something that will seem irrelevant tomorrow
