Hi there, just wondered if someone could answer something for me. In court order my partner agreed to pay a certain sum for 2 children, quite a lot above what he should be paying as he has them nearly half the time (ex wouldn't have settled otherwise). After a year I know child maintenance reverts away from the courts and my partner can apply to CSA for an assessment. My question is will my income be taken in to consideration by CSA if we are living together then, or is it taken purely on his income.

CSA assessment is ­base­d only on the NRP net income.

I would try to avoid using the CSA and for the parents to come to an agreement.

That would be ideal if the ex was a reasonable person, but she's not unfortunately. Why is it best to avoid CSA?

For some the CSA works fine, for most they are a complete nightmare wrong assessments,wrong info , delay in payments to the children (which does affect the chidren), arrears from no where.
