Arnie, why don't you argue the point that justice is not being done in this country anymore because the legal system is bankrupt. No cash for legal aid. Offenders not punished because prison costs too much.
The law was meant to be there to protect the innocent , punish the guilty, and to keep law and order.
I can't believe the world I am now living in. I have watched science fiction films in which people were punished for..Crazy things but it has all come true.
A nurse fined £80 for taking a bite out of an apple as she drove to work, an elderly man fined because he accidently put a tea bag in the wrong recycle bag. Lone teenagers (they don't go near big groups!) being charged £80 tax if they wee in the wrong place.
I feel very very frightened x

Couldn't agree with you more fade2gray, Abu Hamza a self confessed terrorist, who advocates the destruction of our society, makes hate videos from prison that are posted on youtube gets legal aid and costs the tax payer millions and then the hypercritical politicians stop legal aid for patriotic British citizens.
Don't want to get too political but the nanny state on steroids is what you are seeing

I am sure the tax payer's contributions are used protecting and financially supporting the criminal. The victim is just forgotten, in fact it is the victim's fault it would seem, for leaving things in their car, why not, it is their property, but the poor little hard done by criminal, well it is just too much of a temptation for them!!!. What happens to them when they are caught, big fat zero.

If someone breaks into your house and threatens you, you have to make sure they dont slip over the coffee table, cut themselves on anything, cut themselves on the glass as they do break in. Tread on garden tools on their journey up the garden to enter the property. Laugh, no these are all true cases I can remember!!!!!
And if you do challenge them you must do it in a gentle way, or you might be prosecuted yourself. What a pile of absolute rubbish!!
Some of the cases recently in the media have just astounded me, as you say fade2gray, futile, unecessary and really as far as this country is concerned downright humiliating.
A local man here killed someone, he was driving whilst drunk, can you believe it, he was fined £50.00.

Don't get me going, a leader with some balls would be a useful feature in this country. The greatest leader the UK has had in recent years was Winston Churchill, for years he was on the edges of conventional political thinking because he said what was right and wrong regardless of how popular it was. Mr Blair made it fashionable to please all the people all the time, and this is the mess we now live in.
Lets get back to the basics of honesty and decency and punishing those who fall short.
