SXTB benefits entitlement 2 Months, 3 Weeks ago
|
|
Dear all,
Currently in the process of divorce. I am the respondent. I am self rep. Already issued with NISI.
I am currently going through the nightmare of the famous form E.
There are 3 children product of the marriage - ages are 16, 14 and 11.
I am trying to obtain in my mind a picture of how much my stbx gets now in terms of benefits entitlement (Tax Credit?) or/and discounts (such as council tax, etc) as she is now treated as a single parent in what I understand is a low income.
She lives in the MH with all 3 children.
Her monthly earnings are around £1200 after tax.
Full council tax is around £160/month.
Current Child Benefit for all 3 children is £169/month.
There are no savings either before or after separation.
In advance - thanks.

She will get more in child tax credit possibly working tax credit if she is working min 16 hrs p/w.
25% dscount for council tax for the only adult in the house.
Can't see her being entitled to any other benefits.
Depending on what your 16 yr old is doing 6th form or working you will now be liable to pay either 20% or 25% of your net income in child support.

Many thanks for your prompt response.
Is there anyone else in the forum that could provide a very rough and approximate estimation regarding Child and Working Tax Credit? STBX does work over 16 hours/week.
Thanks.
