Can anyone help

Just ran the calculator

gave me two calculations

1. ­base­d on household/childcare
2. ­base­d on outgoings data

can anyone explain these?

I dunno why it does that, or what it means.......but I know a man who will be along soon to defend his calculator - I mean, explain it to you .

They are 2 alternative figures. Use one or the other NOT both.

The first is in theory less accurate as ­base­d just on income and nbr kids.

The second is in theory slightly more accurate as it also has the outgoings data to work from.

The figure given is a monthly Spousal maintenance figure in pounds.

It is generally only applicable if one party earns at least 2 or 3 times more than the other (including benefits).
