It's best the parties agree on the person valuing. Otherwise you could pay the Estate Agent the £200 then she doesn't accept that companies valuation.
An independent opinion is not someone who could expect to profit from the sale. And the chartered valuars may be more realistic.

I wanted the chartered option but sol does not think it matters.
I do agree about jointly instructing the valuation then less option to complain.

Then had to submit an updated valuation with Form E some months later: however, he didn't agree that - (despite that we both chose them!) and so I'm just warning you how these things can change if the other party doesn't like the look of the valuation figures!
It shouldn't matter; but if it becomes a matter; then it does!

Hi - I dont think it matters re the valuation if you both agree. My Ex didnt bother and the Court were happy with an Estate Agents valuation.
requests can be made at the various FDR hearings for additional information and updating of Form E. If additional debts are run up probably need proof of whose responsible unless dissclosed. Its best to try and sort things with minimul Court Hearings - they get VERY EXPENSIVE. If there is any doubt about Ex coplying with Consent Order it is best to get it signed and sealed by the Judge. Partner might well consent to it at time but doesnt mean they will actually comply. It will at least give you something to return to Court for implementation if necessary.

house 155k endowment 21k other savings 13k (3k cancelled out by car values)
so cash assets = 189k
80k CETV pension – depends on type of pension scheme. If it is a final salary scheme this will be an undervaluation. I doubt, at today’s prices, if it is a money purchase scheme like mine, this is the equivalent of much more than 4-5k a year pension… so not far off what you are getting. Is there any more to come from your forces pension?? Does it rise at a particular age?? Have you had a valuation of your pension??
You do not say how old you each are .. but from your income levels you could each get a reasonable mortgage. How much is required for you to buy say, a 2 bed property??
In my view, UNLESS the pension you have is worth more in the end … the pensions probably pretty much cancel each other out.
You are then looking at a straight 50:50 split of what is left ….. so 94.5k apiece for a clean break.
It would cost you more than 6.5k to drag this through the courts .. so if £100k would settle this, then that may be your best option.... and in fact you said your stbx had agreed to settle for 92k .. I would agree pretty sharp-ish if I were you!!!
