Wikivorce Divorce Calculator
This tool is the first of its kind anywhere on the web.
It will calculate an estimate of a fair financial settlement for ancillary relief proceedings in England and Wales - based on your individual circumstances.
To start using the FREE calculator:
Step 1 - you first need to register (takes < 1 min)
Step 2 - Log in (pretty simply so far)
Step 3 - You're ready to go! The Start Calculator option (in menu above) will be activated.
Tip: If you have registered and logged on and still cannot see the calculator menu you may need to refresh/reload this page.
- For Internet Explorer users: click the refresh icon (two green arrows near address bar)
- For Firefox users: click the reload icon (blue circular arrow near top left)
Important information:
This is the first 'beta' release of the Wikivorce Calculator.
It will not be perfect:
- despite our testing it will have bugs, if you get any error messages or notice any faults please write a post on the Support forum and we will try an fix the problem ASAP.
- we need to run several weeks worth of user trials to allow us to 'tune' the decision engine. You can help by trying out the calculator and the posting your result to the Divorce Calculator forum. (You should be able to cut and paste the calculator output page). We will then review the results people are getting and use that data to adjust the settings.
- the calculation logic is extremely complex (because judges in England and Wales courts take dozens of factors into account when deciding what order to make). We do not claim it will work well for all the myriad of different cases from benefits cases to Paul McCartney.
- we are missing some criteria which we will add over the coming months.
- please note that this calculator is aimed at the growing number of people for whom spousal maintenance is a factor. If you have a simple case (similar incomes, or very short marriage) you may only need to consider child support in which case you should try the child support calculator in our Top Divorce Sites section.
