I haven't blogged here for a month.  Mostly, because I've been busy and haven't had time, partly because I haven't had net at home since moving house until a few days ago, so I've only been able to access this site at work, and have had technical problems until last night, but to a large extent because I haven't had anything much to say except "today was a good day".

Since my wife decided a month ago that our marriage was definitely over, I'm feeling really good about myself, and free from so many of the things that have been getting me down for the last five years or so.  I'm not working as

It's tough to be a single man having had to fight to be able to get married and then fight to get divorced.

The marriage

I'm a 20-something Londoner and I got married to a lady from Lahore, Pakistan in 2006 after we'd met in quite random circumstances. At the time, we were in love and my family and friends were deeply supportive of my relationship. The distance was the biggest problem and so I had to fly all my family to Pakistan so that I could get married in accordance with custom.

Ok so another sleepless night.  Think I know more about what's on tv in the early hours than what is shown in the daytime!

Up at 6am for shower, get kids dressed, breakfast and out to their respective childcare - the 2 eldest it's the breakfast club at school, the youngest is at a childminders.  Felt really low, and think my 3 year old picked up on it as he cried when I left him which is not something which he normally does.  Made me feel awful all the way to work.  So as well as all the depressing thoughts of money, bills divorce etc., I felt guilty about my baby.
