I just read Lucretia's blog, and started to write this as a comment, but thought it was more like a blog itself! Lucretia, I hope you read this...your wonderful blog inspired me. 

This will be my second mother's day without mum. I miss her daily, and wish she could see how we are moving on with our lives.She was a formidable person. Strong , decisive, and practical, always able to see through to the heart of the matter. She battled with ill health, her own, and my father's, and still found the energy to fight parliamentary battles,  as a local campaigner for services for the elderly.  She is

Well that was fun, what's next!!

Pretty emotional evening last night ending up with us both in tears and in each others arms. We are both emotionally and physically drained and exhausted after living through the last year, we both still have feeling for each other but as my wife stbx...whatever said.

When this happened something inside me broke, I don't understand it and can't explain it.

So regardless of what happens tomorrow we have agreed to take some time out and see what happens. So what does that mean, well some time apart to let us both recover and let the wounds heal. Finding another

2 years since my marriage crumbled

14 months since I left the marital home

1 year since the Nisi

8 months since the absolute

AND FINALLY......

With a lot of pushing from me, my ex husband helped me close down the 'joint' accounts.

I can't believe it has taken this long, but finally I have reached a point where (as far as I know) I am no longer tied to him and there is no reason for him to contact me.

Moral of the story.....

Don't give up, you will get there eventually.
