Hi everyone, this is my first blog and it took me ages to work out how to do it and with the help of those in chat...here i am.

 It is Wednesday night and I was expecting my husband to come over tonight if he was not working too late.   I have heard nothing from him, wasnt expecting too really.  He is married to his job and works away practically most of the time.   He doesnt even like me to call him now as he says his work doesnt like it, I reminded him that work sees him more than I do and maybe he should mention that he needs to see his wife.  He works from 8am through to about 10 or 11pm

First of all something about how I regard my job and myself - I regard myself as a professional person doing a job that I love with dedication, enthusiasm and with a passion, It was a moment of great despair when I learnt of the stbx's immenant departure and being sent home from work being unable to do the job I loved so much. It was the correct decision as I would have been unable to continue.

Thanks for the comments, I am sure that you are correct in that the emotions one experiences come in different orders for different people, sorry to hear that you are having to cope with loss at the moment, loss is a difficult emotion to deal with as there does not appear any way to channel the emotion into something / somewhere positive. I will certainly join chat, although I often have difficulties
