Today is Diwali the festival of light. It's the celebration of good over evil and I have just had one of the best nights out. One of the kids came in today and said we were all invited to his place at 7pm tonight, he lives at Karaswada slum. We arrived at 7 and partied. It wasn't just at his house it was a community celebration and we danced (all stone cold sober but you wouldn't have believed it by the dancing) and then we ate. The food was great, we all sat in a big circle on the floor and ate rice, curry and some other things. I have no idea what. We ate off banana leaf plates using just

Having a great week so far with the children down in Devon. 

We saw my grandad for lunch on Friday and at 94 he is pretty perky, hope I have his jest for life in 50 years time, even trying to chat up the waitress!!  Since then we have been cycling, swimming, fishing(unsuccessfully),Saturday cinema only £1 per child, what a bargain, and banger racing - that was a laugh which even my 10 yr old daughter enjoyed. 

Tomorrow is a shopping day as daughter has no winter clothes (ex has new wardrobe but children still in shorts and t shirts). Good to see she has her priorities right.   Then it's off

Today was very productive.  I deweeded the back garden finally and planted my spring bulbs.  I can't wait for them to bloom.  I'm looking forward to the future, not back at the past today.  Hope!

I also washed some windows and did some mundane tasks but at least I'm not moping around.

I've booked the hairdressers for Friday.  Baby
