My oven door handle came off in my hand tonight. I was in the middle of cooking dinner and bang there it was. I was upset to say the least. It is part of the fixtures and fittings and obviously I will have to pay for it to be fixed if I can't do it. The screws have gone down between the outer and inner door liner.

I was upset.... I am so fed up with working all the hours god makes and when something like this goes wrong, yes it does throw me. Just more unnecessary expense.

I have had a minor breakthrough (I think). My stbx tells me that he has accepted that I am going to move on, and he is not objecting to the house valuation next week (yet). He offered to do some painting - but I turned him down, because last time he deliberately messed up to delay things! I have handed back his invoices and told him to think about how HE is going to pay for his fishing trip. I have also suggested that he needs to think about what he is going to do to next, to face his future and try to improve things for himself because only he can do this. He tried to change the topic of

No word from husband regarding papers...receipt of or otherwise. Finally got the courage to suggest that he needs to send some money to pay for half of son's forthcoming school trip to France. He hasn't contributed to the kids's maintenance since we came here in September apart from music lessons for one child, for one term...so his total input has been a desultory £130,  towards the upkeep for 2 teenage kids, in 6 months. Have had some more work this week...Had 3 days last week, and 1 day so far this week, so am off jobseeker's allowance now. I feel better about going out to work, and it's
