Well thought it was time to blog again and confront my fears. My FDR  is fast approaching (14th July) and after a very long winded and bitter divorce  I am now feeling apprehensive and scared in general. My Sol also informed me the other day that she had another FDR hearing on the same day. Great!  On an earlier hearing we had on the 15th of May she advised me against using a barrister as she knew my case too well. (almost 2 years now) She has now recommended I get one. Is that because she's otherwise busy on another case! Well okay I have chosen one whom I felt appropriate when she sent me

more letting off steam I'm afraid. The last solicitors bill for a months work was a grand, we can't go on like this. depsite the unfairness of the whole situation my OH has decided to come up with an offer to settle. I wish we knew what his ex actually wanted, they had a happy marriage, it just didn't work out so I don't know why she's being so awful to him, financially anyway. We want to avoid having to go to court as the first hearing is in August.

As I've mentioned before the only thing they have to divide is a minimal amount of equity from the sale of their marital home. My OH is proposing

Today it's all too much and things are getting on top of me. Last night we talked about money when he moves out and now he has found a place to go the rent and other costs mean there's not much left for me and my son. I feel like I am taking his money and he doesn't want to give it. I hate being so dependant on someone who doesn't love me and doesn't want to be with me.

I don't have a job and I didn't make plans for being a single mum. I don't know where to find the will to make all these changes in my life. He has chipped away at my confidence for years and now I need it it's gone.
